|It was a great 50th reunion! The Ocala High School Class of '57 set the mark for reunions.
Many classmates expressed their sentiments with e-mail messages and cards.
Below are excerpts from their messages . . .

|Thanks again for all your hard work. It has been much appreciated! Bob and I really enjoyed the reunion.
|Thanks so much for doing this and for all your hard work in making the reunion the wonderful success that it was.
Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and the photos will be an added treat. I have shown the memory book to
several of the "older" OHS graduates and they all love it.
|I just want to let you know, that you did a bangup good job on making the book. I'm sure glad I got one, and enjoying
|Your "Book" was the big hit. Had everyone talking about it.
|WHAT A WEEKEND. I DID ENJOY SEEING EVERYONE, AND THE SWEET SPIRIT THAT EVERYONE HAD MADE IT ALL SO
ENJOYABLE. PEGGY MORRISON, MARLENE COLLINS, AND JUSTIN HODGES ALL SAID THEY WERE SO GLAD THEY
CAME. THANKS FOR ALL THE LABOR YOU PUT FORTH ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE COMMITTEE. 1957 WAS AND
IS THE BEST CLASS OF OHS.

|I imagine the reunion was a huge success. There must have been a lot of surprises. I am really looking forward to the
video to see what I missed. The reunion book seems to have found a permanent place on my dining room table -- can't
bring myself to put it in my library just yet. The reunion book committee did a wonderful job -- looks like a tremendous
amount of work. Their efforts are appreciated.

|I enjoyed the re-union very much as it was much better than I hoped for. I was touched by all the work that became obvious
you had done. I want to say thanks for it all. A real good weekend!
Thanks a lot,
|Everyone is calling . . . they had a ball!!!! A lot of them got home and sat down last nite and read the Memory Book . . .
they are thrilled to have all that information . . . outstanding job.

|The re-union was wonderful and I am so glad I could come!!! It's amazing how many haven't changed that much!!! Also, the
ones that did, really did change!!! I must congratulate you again on your faithfulness in keeping everyone up to date... I
thank you again!!!
|As I write this, we're still in Ocala, but leaving in the morning for Orlando to meet two of our kids and their families. Again, I
can't thank you enough for the time and energy you put into making our reunion so great. I hope it's not so long until we
can get together again...In the meantime, if you agree, I would really like to stay in touch.
|I just wanted to say again how wonderful the reunion was. You and the rest of the committee did such a fantastlc job with
everything! The Hospitality Room was so nice; the social time and dinner at Jack Knight's was fabulous; the cocktails,
boatride, dinner and dancing were all great!! I know how much time and energy you all must have spent on making this a
lovely reunion for all of us. The name tags and memory book was also such a nice touch and will be a nice keepsake and
also a way to keep in touch with classmates. What a nice idea! I really appreciate your digging for a photo of me in my
cheerleading outfit to go in the memory book. It was so nice to see everyone, and they all made me feel quite welcome.
Please extend my gratitude to all of those who worked on making this a great 50th Reunion.
|Thanks. It was a great party!!
|Thanks for all the hard work that you and the committee did to put the event together. It's a lot of work I'm sure, and you did
a great job in tracking down members. The Memory Book was very professional. It's hard to put down once you start
|Many, many thanks for all the work you and the others put into that glorious reunion. I had a blast!!! It was wonderful
seeing everyone again. I am very aware that those of you who still live in town get stuck with all the work, while the rest of
us just come and enjoy. Thank you, thank you. It was a wonderful weekend.

|I had a wonderful week-end!~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

|The reunion was absolutely fabulous! Everything was just perfect and all ran so smoothly. I know that it was not
by accident. Thank you very much. I looked forward to the reunion so much that I was afraid I would be disappointed, but it
went way beyond my expectations. Seeing all our classmates was the main event. I think we all felt such a sense of
togetherness. I do hope we can all get together again before too many of us are gone, but nothing will surpass this past
You were so right about the need for the Hospitality Room. As one who stayed at the Holiday Inn, I can say that it was the
meeting place. Mostly, the same group of people hung out there. We would run into each other and go to breakfast, but
mostly talked. I think I talked non-stop all weekend. That is the main source of fatigue for me today. I heard a lot of stories
and told a few. I was amazed at the number of widows in the group. I was happily surprised at how friendly and kind
everyone was. Everyone was a friend. I can't tell you how many people I heard on Saturday morning and at the "girls'
luncheon" on Saturday say they stayed up way past midnight reading the Memory Book. It is a fabulous memory of our high
school years, the reunion and each other. I hope you know how much we all appreciate the book. It will also be a way we
can maintain communication with each other. I am very happy to get some of the email addresses.
Thank you, thank you for the reunion and thanks for helping me become involved. I loved making the posters. Interestingly,
the photos people want me to send email copies of are the elementary classes.
You and the rest of the committee went above and beyond. I called my sister yesterday when we got home to tell her about
the weekend. She said a business that does reunions did their last one and it was very impersonal, nothing like ours.

|I just wanted you to know how very much I appreciate everything you did to make the Reunion so successful. I could see
how very hard you and the Committee worked to make everyone feel so welcome and enjoy again the feeling of
closeness we had in High School. I also wanted you and the committee to know what an outstanding job you did on
gathering the information and printing our Memory Book. I saw my husband's book from his 50th Leon High Reunion and
the Class of 1957 Leon High had their reunion the same weekend as ours. I had the opportunity to see the booklet they
prepared. The OHS book is so superior ! Being together was fun and being able to have this wonderful booklet will allow
us to keep that "Reunion Feeling" for years to come. Thank you so very much.

|First I want to thank Pat, Gail & Sylvia for the Memory Book, what a great job and a keepsake for our life time. MY THANKS
TO THE WHOLE REUNION COMMITTEE FOR SUCH A GREAT WEEKEND. MY ONLY REGRET IS IT WAS ONLY TWO
DAYS. I didn't have time to say hello to everybody and I sure hope we don't wait very long to have another one. It dosen't
have to be on the same scale but just so we don't wait 10 years or so. I also want to thank Jack for the wonderful time at
his home. He is a very gracious person and he made the weekend very special.
|What a great job the committee did with our 50th reunion! It was fantastic . . . look forward to seeing you soon! And
thanks again for all you did for all of us.
|57 Reunion Committee,
I want to express my thanks for the hard work you all put into making our 50th class reunion a wonderful event. It was so
great to see everyone. The Memory Book really turned out well and it has been wonderful reading all the information
provided by our classmates. I have to say, I think we had some very special people in our class and that we all really have
had interesting and successful lives. It was such a pleasure to renew old acquaintances and share some time with so
many of my classmates that grew up together during our 12 years of school in Ocala. We can all be proud of the class of

|Rod and i want to thank the committee for all you did to make the reunion a memorable event. For the guests it seemed
that every detail had been well thought out. From the Friday event to the lovely dance Saturday at Silver Springs
everything was just "perfect". Even the weather cooperated!
We especially treasurer the Memory Book. What a great job and something we still refer to even several months later. I
took mine to Georgia to read to Mother (99). She remembers many of my classmates fondly. I can imagine this was a lot
of work just finding the classmates and then getting them to write something in time for publication. Your hard work is
